No último final de semana (24) foram anunciados os vencedores do Prêmio Eisner, considerado o Oscar dos quadrinhos, em San Diego (EUA), no hotal Hilton Bayfront. A editora que se destacou na cerimônia foi a DC Comics, vencedora de dez troféus, oito deles das categorias principais e dois em premiações compartilhadas. O Prêmio Eisner tem 32 categorias no total.

A Comic Con destacou como um dos grandes vencedores do ano o quadrinho Absolute Martian Manhunter, da DC, de Deniz Camp e Javier Rodriguez, que levou para casa os troféus de Melhor Série Limitada e Melhor Desenhista/Arte-Finalista, além de compartilhar os prêmios de Melhor Capista (para Rodriguez) e Melhor Letrista (para Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou).

O único outro título com múltiplas vitórias foi This Place Kills Me, de Mariko Tamaki e Nicole Goux (Abrams Fanfare), que venceu nas categorias Melhor Publicação para Adolescentes e Melhor Escritor.
